The short version

Courseopedia is free to use. We keep it that way with affiliate links: when you click through to a course provider and enroll, that provider may pay us a commission. It never costs you anything extra, and it never changes what we recommend.

Which links are affiliate links

Outbound course links — the "View on", "Start on", "Enroll on", and "Go to course" buttons — may route through affiliate programs we participate in, including those of Udemy, Coursera, edX, and other providers in our directory. We mark these links with the sponsored attribute for search engines.

What commissions never buy

• Rankings. "Best of" lists are computed from learner ratings and enrollment data. Commission rates are not an input.
• Roadmap recommendations. The AI matches courses to your skill gaps by skill coverage, level, ratings, and price — it has no knowledge of which providers pay us.
• Directory placement. Free courses from providers that pay us nothing (freeCodeCamp, The Odin Project, MIT OpenCourseWare, and others) rank on exactly the same terms as paid ones.
